About Me…
When I was younger, I constantly asked myself, how can I best serve society and my community?
After assessing my natural inclinations and interests, I wanted to find a skill set that brought together science, entrepreneurship, intellect, empathy, presence, service, health, and introspection.
I also wanted to do something that worked, that would set me on a path of endless learning, that contributed to people’s lives in a meaningful and influential way, and filled a unique niche in our society.
How can someone feel truly fulfilled and in love with life if they’re constantly contending with medications, pain, or illness? I believe we all want to feel healthy and happy, and Chinese medicine is how I’ll help you get there.
In 2012 I embarked on a 5 year Doctor of Chinese Medicine Diploma in Nelson B.C.(4200hrs).
In 2017 I graduated, became licensed, and practised for 1.5yr in Ontario.
By the end of 2018, I knew I was exhausted and wanted to experience the life balance TCM always advocated.
I took 2 years off to learn at my leisure and enjoy a quiet life, and finished a paramedic program. I took that time to meditate intensively and discover for myself the true power of the mind, emotions, and stress on our health. Now I’m ready to practice Chinese Medicine again with a new level of passion, intrigue, and energy I’ve never felt before.
I realized that mental, emotional, and physical symptoms can hinder and stunt our happiness, well-being, and gumption for life. That’s what it did to me. I actually think Chinese Medicine resonated so deeply because it offered the most well balanced, all encompassing perspectives on how to live a fulfilled, happy, healthy life and what to do when things slide sideways. Having a tool kit in my back pocket that I can draw on for any physical or emotional challenge is truly empowering, and I want to share that with the rest of the world.
After 10 years of honest self inquiry, I figured out most of my challenging health stuff, finished a lot of schooling, propped myself up financially, found a partner, bought a home, started practising, moved around a few times, established an acupuncture circuit, then settled in Grande Cache. Now I’m focused on establishing myself in this new community, while carving out a lot more time enjoying life than I did over the last 2 years while building my practice.
In my free time I’m nerding out on all things chinese medicine related, hiking, meditating, or socializing with my lovely partner and friends.
